We need more people on Nostr, talking about what lights a fire in them. That's why I'm here.
Bitcoin and Nostr are a hard fork in the brain. Once you understand their power you can't go back. I can't go back to just living within the fiat system and since 2024 I've been exploring ways to build a parallel life: working with Freedom Tech Company, giving talks about Nostr, writing for Proof of Work Magazine, as well as poetry too.
I don't do any of this for clout, I do it because I love it.

As a mathematician, I'm used to working on systems where reliability really matters. After years of leading AI and software teams, I realised that our core problem is not a lack of innovation or compassion, it's how we store value, and more importantly, how we control it.
In the traditional system, we hand over control to banks. With Bitcoin, the rule is simple: 'Not your keys, not your coins.' But true ownership isn't just about holding a seed phrase; it's about having a reliable plan for the future. Too many people lose their savings to hackers, lose their seed phrase, or leave their families unable to access funds when unforeseen circumstances arise.
These are the reasons why I decided to close this gap by building practical safety nets.

Halima Abba is a Nigerian-born Bitcoin educator, storyteller and emerging voice in Africa’s Bitcoin movement.
She hosts What’s Haute With Halima, a Bitcoin media platform built around making one of the world’s most consequential ideas accessible to people who were never supposed to be part of the conversation.
Her work sits at the intersection of Bitcoin, money, culture and freedom, with a particular focus on Africa — where monetary instability and financial exclusion aren’t theoretical concepts, but lived realities.
Now based in the UK, Halima brings an African perspective to the global Bitcoin conversation, connecting grassroots experiences of money with the bigger questions Bitcoin forces us to ask about who controls value, who gets access to financial freedom, and what a different monetary future could look like.
She is passionate about turning Bitcoin knowledge into something more powerful than information: agency.

He also helped start Bitcoin Boma, Malawi's first bitcoin group and is the creator of EconoKidz.com.

What we have built:
A radio station that streams over the internet (video + audio), run as a labor of love for over three years, currently rebuilding itself from a shipwreck into a proper vessel.
A jukebox: any listener can pay a few sats (the smallest pieces of a bitcoin) to request a song. The payment is instant, borderless, and goes where it should. This payment is purely anti-spam protection: 21 sats per song, and a little more for a long song.
Live sessions: guest DJs come aboard, stream their set through our channel, and receive their fair share of everything the audience donates while they play — automatically, without paperwork, without waiting, without a middleman skimming.
One can interact with the Jukebox in four ways, at the time of writing. Via our website, over telegram, via X and nostr, too!

Nzonda Fotsing works at the intersection of Bitcoin infrastructure, financial education, and public policy across Francophone Africa.
He is the co-founder of BitBank, a Bitcoin and Lightning settlement infrastructure focused on the CEMAC and UEMOA economic regions, and the founder of the Conference Bitcoin Afrique (CBA). The inaugural edition, held in Douala in April 2025, brought together more than 400 participants, while the second edition, hosted in Ouagadougou in April 2026, welcomed over 650 attendees from 14 countries, including several ministerial delegations.
Recognized in 2025 as one of Africa's 21 Most Influential Bitcoiners, Nzonda serves as the convener of the CBA Federation an open network connecting Bitcoin communities across nine Francophone African countries. He is currently leading preparations for the third edition of Conference Bitcoin Afrique, which will take place in Kinshasa in April 2027.

Renato Schiavinato Lopez builds security processes for the inconvenient moments: when software is gone, the instructions are old, the people involved are stressed, and the person who designed the system is not there.
He is the founder of GRIFORTIS and the creator of DuraShare, an open protocol for splitting and recovering Bitcoin BIP39 backups with threshold cryptography, offline tools, paper artifacts, and a manual fallback. His question is not merely whether a backup is cryptographically sound, but whether ordinary people can operate it years later without turning recovery into a leap of faith.
He also created SeReCoLiPrInGo—a framework for treating self-custody as seven competing concerns: Security, Resilience, Coercion, Liquidity, Privacy, Inheritance, and Governance. It is an argument against the idea that a hardware wallet, a seed phrase, or multisig alone can solve custody.
Before moving into Bitcoin self-custody, Renato was an Agile Coach. He designed and facilitated hundreds of workshops, trainings, and working sessions in Portuguese and English—getting groups to make decisions, surface assumptions, build shared understanding, and leave with a process they could actually use. That background now shapes his security work: DuraShare treats custody as a human coordination problem as much as a cryptographic one.
In 2026, he brought DuraShare to TABConf, UFMG, Casa21, and Brazilian BitDevs—not as a product pitch, but as something participants could calculate, audit, and recover themselves.
