I am a normal "civilian" but also a "hobby" privacy advocated. I am however a friend of Jan Suhr, the founder of Nitrokey, so whilst I dont work for them (and I am not getting any money for this), I represent them at this talk. https://www.nitrokey.com/
Session
Software can’t protect your freedom if the hardware underneath it is a
black box. This talk introduces Nitrokey, the Berlin-based vendor of
open-source security hardware, and its mission to put users back in control.
We’ll tour the lineup: the Nitrokey 3 security key for
phishing-resistant passkey login, OpenPGP encryption, and SSH; NitroPads
and NitroPCs with Coreboot and tamper-evident boot; the
GrapheneOS-powered NitroPhone; and the NetHSM for organizations.
Attendees will learn how these systems can strengthen both their digital
sovereignty and their security, and leave knowing how to build a setup
on hardware they can trust, because they can verify it.
